The intelligent access control system is composed of a sensing unit (read head), a control unit (controller), and an execution unit (electronic locks, barriers). Each unit performs its duties while interlocking each other. The control unit is the brain of the access control system. It is the information processing center, the intelligent integration center, and the system fusion center. Today, let's take a look at how the access control unit links the gates, elevators, and fire protection systems.
Control gate
Generally, the access control device is used to control the switch signal of the gate. When the user swipes the access control device at the entrance, the access control system recognizes and compares whether there’s an authority to open the door according to the card number, face, and QR code of the access control card. If there is permission, the system will send the authorized signal to the switch of the brake and open the switch of the switch, then the card swiper can enter.
The control signal of the gate is divided into dry Contact and switch value, and different signal control methods use different solutions. Dry Contact: There are two states of closed and open; there is no polarity between the two contacts and can be interchanged; the switch value: There are two states of electricity and no electricity; there is polarity between the two contacts, not Reverse connection.
Three-level fire linkage
The access control system is a system that controls the entrance and exit passages. It belongs to the category of security systems. However, the installation of the access control system on the evacuation passage affects evacuation and escapes, and has major hidden dangers to fire safety. Therefore, in the event of a fire, the access control system must be able to link with the fire fighting system, and all access control systems will automatically fail in the event of a fire, so as to ensure that the escape route is unimpeded in the event of a fire. We have added a fire-fighting linkage module to the security module of the access control equipment. When a fire occurs, the dry Contact signal of the access control controller will automatically open the door; or the fire button on the equipment will be triggered, and the equipment access control will be fully opened. According to specific circumstances, the fire linkage mode can be divided into the following three methods:
When the access controller receives the fire alarm signal, the access controller activates the fire mode.
2、When the access control controller receives the fire alarm signal, it will send the fire alarm information to the access control management platform in real time, and the access server will send the fire alarm to all access control equipment in the area, instructing these equipment to enter the fire linkage mode.
3. If the server is abnormal at this time, the access controller that receives the fire alarm will not be able to send the alarm message to the server. At this time, the access control controller will synchronously send out the fire alarm message through the LAN broadcast, and the access control controller in the area that can receive the encrypted broadcast will immediately enter the fire linkage mode.
Elevator linkage
Elevator linkage brings a noble and efficient experience to users. When the user has scanned the access control, the system has automatically completed the call operation. After entering the elevator, it will automatically dispatch the elevator to the designated floor without any key operation during the whole process. This elevator linkage technology, which was born in 2016, has become a standard feature in today's high-end office buildings. The essence of elevator linkage is the docking of access control agreements and elevator control agreements of various brands. The same brand and different office buildings may use different communication protocols, so the protocol docking plan needs to be formulated according to the specific situation. Generally, the RS485 interface is mostly used, and RS485 is usually used to control the elevator dispatch. Elevator linkage can also realize simultaneous dispatch of elevators by multiple users. The system will use the optimal elevator plan to allocate elevators to users in real time, so that users can reach the destination floor in the shortest time. The linkage capability of the intelligent access control system and the gate is reflected in the users can use card, QR code, NFC, face and other ways to open the door, and also embodied in the access control system can complete the agreement with the domestic and foreign brand gate manufacturers. By linking with the security system, building security protection capabilities and emergency response capabilities can be improved. The linkage between intelligent access control and elevators makes personnel entry and exit more efficient and smarter, allowing office buildings to exceed the standards of domestic and even international requirements for elevator speed and waiting time, and enhance the overall competitive advantage of office buildings.
